Christian Mercado – Law Clerk
Christian Mercado is a law clerk with Fullerton Beck LLP’s General Liability and Labor Law practices. Focused on litigation since he was in law school, Christian’s first foray into private practice was as a law clerk with a plaintiffs’ side New York City labor & employment law firm. His experience representing employees in federal and state court provides him with an informed perspective of how to approach New York Labor Law cases for his defendant clients.
Honing trial and litigation skills has always been important to Christian. In addition to competing at national trial advocacy tournaments as a member of the Brendan Moore Trial Advocacy Team, Christian spent a year with Fordham Law’s Securities Litigation & Arbitration Clinic, where he negotiated a significant settlement with a large broker-dealer, took a matter to FINRA arbitration, and published an article about his clinic work at Fordham in a trade publication.
Christian earned his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law (2021), where he was a recipient of the Bernard M. Shanley Scholarship and the Archibald R. Murray Public Service Award, summa cum laude. He also completed more than 1350 hours of pro bono work while attending Fordham. He earned a B.A. from St. John’s University (2018).
Christian sat for the bar exam in July of 2021 and is currently awaiting his results.
