With more than two decades of experience defending general liability matters, Philip DeNoia understands how to resolve cases efficiently and cost-effectively, with the majority of his matters settling for a fraction of the demand or dismissed by dispositive motion. His keen attention to detail and ability to evaluate medical records and other forms of discovery to determine validity of the plaintiffs’ claims make him a valuable asset to his clients’ legal teams.

Phil’s caseload primarily encompasses general liability matters, specifically premises liability, dram shop, security assault, automotive accidents and assault and battery cases. He represents insurance companies and their insureds: hospitals, bars, night clubs, and commercial real estate companies and handles all aspects of his cases, from inception through resolution. He also represents large, self-insured organizations including major utility companies and a commercial uniform company.

Phil’s recent high-exposure matters involved an automotive accident involving a front-end loader that rear ended a vehicle and a dram shop case with significant injuries. Other recent matters involve claims of sexual assault and excessive use of force.

Clients describe Phil as collaborative and level-headed, as well as strategic in his counsel. He has established effective reporting mechanisms to keep clients updated on their cases and works well within his clients’ established guidelines, contributing to seamless attorney-client relationships.

When not practicing law, Phil serves on the board of the Bedford-Katonah Hockey Association. He is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey.

Phil graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. from Manhattanville College and his J.D. from Elizabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University.
