Laura is an experienced litigator who focuses her practice on defending complex medical malpractice matters and nursing home and long-term care litigation. Her clients benefit from her comprehensive experience handling all aspects of litigation and exposure to novel cases, as well as her background as a director of claims for a third-party administrator (TPA). This 360-degree perspective informs her ability to evaluate claims and understand her clients’ needs and sensitivities.
Laura represents hospitals, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in cases involving medical specialties, including obstetrics, surgery, anesthesiology, orthopedics, emergency medicine, pathology, and hematology/oncology. She also has experience defending nursing home negligence claims in state and federal court and has served as national coverage and monitoring counsel for insurers of long-term care facilities. Laura handles everything from the inception of her cases to trial and has obtained successful outcomes through dispositive motion practice and alternative dispute resolution.
Recognized for her accomplishments, Laura has been selected for Best Lawyers in America Ones to Watch in the Medical Malpractice Law — Defendants practice. She is admitted in New Jersey, New York, and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
Laura graduated from Muhlenberg College with a B.S. and earned her J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law, graduating cum laude, with a Certificate of Advanced Study in Health Services Management & Policy.
