Super Lawyers Katrine A. Beck 5 years

Katrine Beck, co-founder of Fullerton Beck, focuses her trial practice on general liability claims, municipal law matters and commercial disputes. She successfully handles all phases of litigation in state and federal court and is equally skilled in the courtroom and in arbitrations and mediations. Her clients include individuals, small businesses, public and private corporations, property managers, condominium and co-op boards, and insurance carriers.

Katrine’s general liability practice encompasses defending high-exposure cases involving negligence, construction accident claims under New York Labor Law, motor vehicle accidents and premises liability claims. Katrine is OSHA-10 certified, which provides her with an intimate knowledge of matters related to construction, American Institute of Architects (AIA) contracts and insurance procurement and indemnity requirements.

In her commercial litigation practice, Katrine brings a breadth and depth of experience to effectively serve clients of all sizes, from large, well-established enterprises to small, entrepreneurial organizations. Newly formed companies with high exposure to litigation rely on Katrine to help minimize their risk by drafting and reviewing contracts, proposals, and other documents, as well as to provide effective legal defense across various areas of the law if litigation arises. She provides innovative legal strategies to co-op boards, property managers and developers, and executes strategic litigation plans within limited or expedited timeframes and budgets. Her practical, focused approach helps clients avoid protracted disputes that can easily distract from successfully running their businesses.

Katrine previously served as an Assistant Corporation Counsel with the New York City Law Department, Bronx Tort Division, where she tried cases to verdict on behalf of New York City and its agencies, including the New York Police Department, the Board of Education, and the Corrections, Transportation and Sanitation departments. This experience shaped her approach to litigation and her ability to quickly identify key issues in cases.

In addition to being named to New York Metro Super Lawyers since 2016, Katrine was named to the prestigious Crain’s New York Business “Notable Women in Law” in 2021 and 2022, is a 2020 Westchester County Business Journal (WCBJ) C-Suite Awards honoree and was named to the Business Council of Westchester’s coveted list of “40 under 40” Rising Stars. In 2021, Katrine was awarded the coveted Ruth Bader Ginsburg Vanguard Award by the New York State Bar Association for her extraordinary efforts addressing and raising awareness about issues of equity, diversity, and inclusion. The firm also has been recognized on the WCBJ Powerful Women list.
