Fullerton Beck’s Alison O’Dwyer to Participate in Emergency Medicine Panel at AHRMNY Conference
Alison O’Dwyer, Chair of Fullerton Beck LLP’s Medical Malpractice Group, will serve as a panelist at the Association for Healthcare Risk Management of New York’s (AHRMNY) Full Day Conference, taking place June 5, 2026, at City Winery, NYC. Alison will participate in the panel “Unpacking Burnout in the Emergency Room: Its Impact on Physicians, the Care Environment and Potential Solutions,” which will examine the growing issue of emergency department burnout through both medical and legal perspectives. The discussion will explore how operational pressures, regulatory considerations, and the medical malpractice landscape intersect with provider well being and patient safety.
The session will be moderated by Christie Nunn, Esq., Assistant Vice President and Claims Counsel, and will feature panelists Sasha Sagalovich, Esq., Assistant Vice President, and Lara Vanyo, M.D., Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine. Together, the panel will address key risk areas in emergency medicine, including patient monitoring, communication among providers, boarding, liability exposure, and lessons drawn from claims data and litigation trends.
