Special Litigation Counsel Brandon Berkowski prevailed on two cases under the Children’s Victim’s Act by demonstrating to the court that his client, a benefactor of a camp who was not involved in daily operations, did not owe a duty to the plaintiff and, thus, was not liable.  The court agreed and granted the motion.  In a second case, Brandon diligently defended a group home for troubled youth and was able to secure a dismissal by demonstrating to the court that the plaintiff had failed to take timely and appropriate action to prosecute the case.
