Firm Hires Eileen Reynolds Becker to Expand Footprint in the Tri-State Area
White Plains, New York – (October 11, 2021) Just three years after opening its doors in White Plains, New York, women-owned insurance defense law firm Fullerton Beck LLP has expanded in the tri-state area for a second time – the first was in March of 2020 into New Jersey and now into Connecticut.
The firm hired Eileen Reynolds Becker, a veteran insurance defense attorney, to open the office and to serve as its managing partner.
“We have been wanting to expand into Connecticut for about a year, and when we met Eileen, we knew it was a match,” explained Eileen Fullerton, managing partner. “In addition to our practices being aligned, our work styles and work ethic are as well. Providing consistent, high-quality service across all of our offices is our goal, and we are confident that with Eileen in Connecticut, we can achieve that.”
Becker, a litigator with more than 25 years of experience and a member of the exclusive American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), is an aggressive trial attorney who has taken nearly 40 cases to verdict. She represents individuals, businesses and other organizations in civil litigation, typically personal injury defense matters involving automobile accidents, premises liability, professional liability, and product liability. She also has extensive experience representing health care professionals and facilities in medical malpractice and long-term care/nursing home litigation.
Becker’s docket of cases regularly encompasses high exposure matters with claims of wrongful death, traumatic brain injury, orthopedic injuries, and a spate of other claims of varying complexity and severity.
Prior to joining Fullerton Beck, Becker ran her own law firm and worked in the Connecticut offices of national law firms, as well as the Philadelphia office of an Am Law 200 law firm.
“I wasn’t looking for a change, but when I was approached with this opportunity, I had to seriously consider it,” said Becker. “Fullerton Beck is an impressive organization, and I am excited to be a part of it. Our practices are closely aligned but our client rosters don’t overlap so our union provides opportunities across the board.”
“In addition,” Becker added, “the culture at Fullerton Beck is truly unique. The collegial environment creates a dynamic atmosphere in which to develop optimal resolutions for our clients, and a pleasant, supportive place in which to work. While that has always been important, COVID has shifted priorities making it even more critical.”
Becker earned her A.B. degree from Syracuse University (1989) and her J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from Rutgers University School of Law (1992), where she served as managing editor of the Rutgers Law Journal.
Becker is a member of the New Haven County and Connecticut Bar Associations and the Connecticut Defense Lawyers Association. She is admitted to practice in Connecticut and before the U.S. District Courts for the District of Connecticut and the Southern District of New York. She is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals, Second Circuit.
