Verne Pedro, managing partner of Fullerton Beck’s New Jersey office, will be presenting “Navigating the Threat of Cyber Risk in the Transportation Industry and Key Cyber Insurance Issues” on September 20, 2022, at 1:15-2:15 p.m. CT at the International Risk Management Institute (IRMI) Transportation Risk Conference in Des Moines, Iowa.
The exponential increase of cyber-physical systems and Internet of Things (IoT) devices has expanded the risk of cyberattacks on everything from transportation systems and critical infrastructure to medical devices and global markets. In this session, Verne will explore the heightened and emerging exposures from cyberattacks, with a focus on cyber-physical attacks, and will highlight related cyber insurance coverage cases and risk issues.
Verne has experience handling first-party data loss claims. He has also analyzed coverage issues involving hacked health-care companies sued by putative class members because patient records and other private data were disclosed.
